Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 18, 2026
NexVPN (operated by NexVPN) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, what we don't collect, and how we handle your information when you use our VPN service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the absolute minimum data required to operate the VPN service:
- Device ID: A randomly generated UUID stored locally on your device. This is not linked to your identity, name, email, or any personal information.
- Connection session data: Temporary connection timestamps used solely for active session management. This data is held in memory only and is deleted when you disconnect.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We explicitly do not collect, store, or process:
- Browsing history or visited URLs
- DNS queries
- Your real IP address
- Traffic data or packet contents
- Connection timestamps (beyond active session)
- Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- Device identifiers (IMEI, advertising ID, etc.)
3. VPN Connection & Encryption
NexVPN uses the WireGuard protocol, a modern, audited cryptographic VPN protocol. All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted end-to-end. We cannot see, read, or log the contents of your encrypted traffic.
4. Third-Party Services
NexVPN contains:
- No analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, etc.)
- No advertising SDKs
- No third-party tracking of any kind
- No crash reporting services that transmit data externally
Your data stays between your device and our VPN servers. Nothing is shared with third parties.
5. Data Retention
Connection metadata (session state) is held in server memory only for the duration of your active VPN session. When you disconnect, this data is immediately and permanently deleted. We have no persistent logs to retain, subpoena, or hand over.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect our server infrastructure, including encrypted communications, firewalled access, and regular security audits. WireGuard's cryptographic design ensures that even in the unlikely event of a server breach, your traffic data cannot be reconstructed.
7. Children's Privacy
NexVPN is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
